One scorching hot day my family and I were camping at the beautiful Lake Whakamaru with some of our friends from Taupo. It was so hot that you could fry an egg on the concrete so we all decided to go out on Lance’s boat and maybe go knee boarding and biscuiting. We went and got all of our puffy life jackets and towed the boat to the boat ramp.
The boat is in the water, we tie the knee board onto the back of the boat, Lance checks if Logan (my friend) is all ready and off we go. Speeding down the lake, Logan boarding on the back. He was really good and I mean really good. He stayed on for like 10 minutes and even went over the wakes. But now it’s my turn!
I’m out on the lake waiting silently looking at the hundreds of trees and flying birds surrounding the lake it’s an astonishing sight. Then Lance gives me the signal and the boat starts moving. He starts off not that fast but speeds up. As the boat starts moving I pull myself up onto my knees I start to wobble but I keep myself steady. I quickly undo the strap and pull it over my knees. Now I grab the handle and it pulls me strait over the front and I eat a lot of water.
As I sit out on the water waiting for Lance I take one last glance of the beautiful scenery before we go back in for lunch.
