This term we had a whole school science fair. I decided to do my topic on What effect will using different liquids have on the growth of plants. I chose to do my project on what effect will using different liquids have on the growth of plants because I have always wondered how long plants would survive living on liquids other than water. I did my experiment by getting four plants all of the same species and all healthy. I labeled them according to what liquid I would be watering that plant with. I kept them in the same place for three weeks, watering them with the same liquid and the same amount of liquid every day and measured them every week. My outcome was that my Water plant continued healthy for the whole three weeks, the Raro plant was average but slowly dying, the Coke plant was drooping and wilted and the sprite plant was dead. In the end I found out that a little bit of sugar is ok in plants because it gives it a double shot of glucose (which is basically what sugar is) but if you give them too much it will get an overdose and kill off the roots.
